City Council Works To Reduce Litter
One major source of litter is unmaintained commercial dumpsters. Lone Tree City Council enacted a new ordinance to require dumpster providers to maintain containers with no defects or holes, and to be equipped with operable dumpster lids. The new ordinance took effect on January 1, 2021.

Waste Connections Helping Us Learn
And Some Free Giveaways
Waste Connections, the trash and recycle partner for Lone Tree, attended our Fall Clean Up Event. They provided valuable information about how to properly recycle.
How To Recycle
It's Not As Easy As You Think
While it's easy to just pitch something we think is recycleable into the bin, it can actually do more harm than good if it's not recycleable. Putting in incorrect recycleable material can "pollute" the entire batch of material, making all of it unrecycleable. Please ensure you know the "Yes" and "No" of recycle.
